Specialists of Kharkiv Electrovazhmash plant started to design and manufacture TGV-210-2MT3 modernized turbine generator for the Syddyrhanch thermal power plant, Bangladesh.
The contract for the development and delivery of a turbo-generator was signed at the end of June 2017. Shipment of the finished equipment is planned for the third quarter of 2018.
This order will be executed to replace TGV-200-2M-2T3 turbine generator with a capacity of 210 MW produced by Electrovazhmash for Syddyrhanch in the 1990s.
“We signed a contract for the supply of such equipment for the first time over a long period. The contract will enable us to optimize production of turbine generators and strengthen our position in the Asian market,” said the acting director of the plant, Dmytro Kostiuk.
Besides, the Kharkiv plant signed a five-year contract to manufacture equipment for Kaniv hydropower station this year.
Although some experts predicted Electrovazhmash would hardly survive without contracts with Russia, the number of orders from India, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan and other countries proves otherwise.
