On Thursday, September 21, Slovenian physicist Marko Pinteric is delivering a lecture on European experience of energy efficiency at Sixth Corner club, Chernyshevska Str, 27.
The free lecture is held within the Maidan Monitoring Free University project which has been uniting experts, scientists and researchers in different branches of science, education and teaching activism since 2013. This time not only scientists but also developers would be interested in the subject as the first energy efficient building have already been built in Kharkiv.
This is the first lecture to be delivered in English, and the following discussion will be provided with Ukrainian-English translation.
Dr. Marko Pinteric, Assistant Professor at Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Maribor, Slovenia will tell about the mechanisms of heat transfer and thermal losses of the building and other issues being of practical and commercial interest in today’s Ukraine.
The following topics will be covered: the importance of energy efficiency for EU and Ukraine, heat pump and recuperator, transfer of the heat through thermal bridges, methods of energy efficiency improvement and their advantages and pitfalls, the design of a passive house, legislative incentives for building energy efficiency improvement implemented in the European Union.
The lecture and its online broadcast will be held on September 21, 2017, 18:30 – 20:30 (Kyiv time, GMT +3).
