According to Kharkiv Tractor Plant general director Andriy Koval, the plant produces an average of 100–120 tractors per month, but they are capable producing of 170 is there is sufficient demand.
In his interview, given to the correspondent of Interfax-Ukraine agency, the director stated presently about 40% of tractors are sold in Ukraine, roughly the same amount is exported to Russia. However, the enterprise used to sell much more machines to Russia previously.
“For me, Russia is not a market of paramount importance. We aim to succeed in the old markets of Central Asia and secure new markets, particularly Canada, the USA, Latin America and Africa,” stated Koval.
“It is very important to recognize that modern technologies should be implemented to make our products more marketable and suitable for the consumer,” the director noted.
Recall, since the beginning of the year, the plant has produced more than 700 tractors, and before the end of 2017, the number of these will increase to 1000 machines.
