October 9, the delegation of the Japanese Embassy visited Kharkiv. Deputy Head of Mission, Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine, Mr. Michio Harada regarded the opportunities of future joint projects with the Kharkiv region.
By now an energy replacement project and supplying equipment to the Institute for Prosthetics have been successfully implemented. Also, a cultural initiative of planting the sakura cherry blossom which is the national flower of Japan has been promoted in the Kharkiv region.
On October 12, another action on planting sakura will take place in Horky Park, the Ambassador of Japan to Ukraine and ATO combatants are invited to join.
Mr. Michio Harada noted that Japan is ready to implement a new project on supplying equipment to the Kharkiv Regional Military Hospital. He also told about his plans to meet the representatives of IT companies and to introduce programs of training for Kharkiv teachers, students, and IT specialists.
“We are implementing this kind of initiative in the field of medicine, some students from Kharkiv Medical University can visit the university in Japan,” said Mr. Michio Harada. He added that he is going to invite some representatives of Japanese companies to Kharkiv next spring to demonstrate the region’s opportunities for them.
