At the campus of National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute,” second season “Under Martial Law” Russian series is currently being shot, the University’s press service informs.
“For two weeks the Polytechnic Institute will become the main film location. Carts are coming and going, shells are exploding, smoke bombs are billowing, the Red Army soldiers are marching around the campus,” the press service adds.
The plot of the movie is closely connected with Kharkiv. The detective will tell about the military prosecutors’ adventures – Svetlana Yelagina starring Ekaterina Klimova and Ivan Rokotov starring Yevgeny Volovenko. They arrive in Kharkiv in the fall of 1941 to uncover the spy organization operating behind the lines.
Notably, well-known Russian actor Alexander Pankratov-Cherny is starring in the movie as well. Earlier, he was reported to perform in occupied Donetsk and the Crimea. However, Star Media Company, which produces the series, informs that he doesn’t take part in the filming in Kharkiv.
Incidentally, the Polytechnic Institute press service shared a picture where Pankratov-Cherny, Klimova and Volovenko were photographed together. However, they admitted that the picture, dated September 20, was borrowed from Klimova’a Instagram page for illustrative purpose. Subsequently, the picture was removed from the news.
