Lithuanian Doctors to Help Kharkiv Colleagues

Medicine is the main field of further cooperation between the Kharkiv region and Lithuania, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine Marius Yanukonis noted during his visit to Kharkiv.

The ambassador met with Kharkiv Governor Yulia Svitlychna. The parties discussed cooperation in the medical and economic areas. The ambassador of Lithuania noted that investors had trusted in Ukraine and began entering it.

“We want your country to be successful. We can share our experience with you. It is crucial for Ukraine to move forward. We see that the state does a lot, in particular, invests in the infrastructure. For now, the most important is that ordinary people should experience the impact of reforms,” said Marius Yanukonis.

The officials also discussed the signing of the Agreement on Partnership and Cooperation between Kharkiv Regional Teaching Hospital — Center for Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine and JSC Kardiolita (Lithuania). These medical institutions have been cooperating for ten years. According to the doctors, the agreement will allow Kharkiv specialists to consult with Lithuanian counterparts about the treatment in complex cases at any time.
