Today, November 1, 9:45 p.m. Shakhtar Donetsk plays with Feyenoord Rotterdam, one of the most famous clubs in the Netherlands, at Kharkiv Metalist stadium.
The teams compete in the Champions League group stage round 4.
Yesterday Shakhtar and Feyenoord held a joint seminar for football coaches training children.
Twenty-five coaches took part in the training program. Among them, there were 15 mentors of the “Come On, Let’s Play” project organized by FC Shakhtar in seven Ukrainian cities.
The football fans couldn’t do without a brawl though. Yesterday night Ukrainian and Dutch fans arranged a fight in Stina rock-pub. The windows and furniture were broken; luckily, according to the police, no one was seriously hurt. Fifty-two people, including Dutch citizens, were brought to the police station for interrogation.
Today on the eve of the match, the players and the coaching staff of Shakhtar took a stroll near Maidan Svobody to the great excitement of their fans who took photos with the players and wished them good luck for tonight.
The city is getting ready for the bustle around the match. Thus at night November 1 to 2, Kharkiv metro is working an extra hour till 1 a.m. Also, the timetable of trams and buses running near the Metalist stadium is changed for the time of the match.
