The construction of wind farms is to be started in the Kharkiv region.
This announcement was reported by the project initiators – Kharkiv Energy Cluster and the Institute for Sustainable Development yesterday.
Undisclosed investment company from Europe agreed to finance the project during negotiations with Ukrainian representatives.
According to the founder of Kharkiv Energy Cluster Stanislav Ignatiev, a pre-investment agreement was signed by the sides as a result of the talks. Also, the further provision of technical requirements for connection to the grid and the development of budget documents are confirmed.
The construction will be built over three stages – the first one with a capacity of 12 MW, the second totaling 26 MW, and the third site of 38 MW.
“Before launching this project we had spent three years measuring wind direction and power at up to a height of 100 meters. We processed, modeled and mapped the data,” Ignatiev explained.
However, the wind farm locations have not been revealed yet.
