Tired but Happy: Fighters from ATO Zone are Back to Kharkiv

“Two hundred and fifty fighters of the first unit of the 92nd separate mechanized Kharkiv brigade arrived in Chuhuiv, Kharkiv region, at the end of last week. They were warmly welcomed by relatives and friends, district’s dwellers and local government representatives at the railway station,” Kharkiv Regional State Administration press-service informed.

Ukrainian soldiers returned to the permanent location to rest and get ready to carry out further assignments.

Adviser to the Head of Kharkiv Regional State Administration Serhii Storozhenko thanked the fighters for military service. “We will struggle for long-awaited peace together and we’ll win,” he believes.

“I welcome home Ukrainian heroes. We bow down to you and your families. We are proud of you!” thanked Chuhuiv District Administration head Mykola Shokin.

According to the military commissioner of the Kharkiv military commissariat Colonel Yuri Kalgushkin, taking into account traditions and experience of commanders from Kharkiv region, the majority of local recruits prefer to join 92nd brigade.

After vacations, the brigade will resume the combat training at the military testing ground near Kharkiv. The Brigade has fought in the Donetsk region since October 2016. During this time, 18 soldiers were killed, and another 97 were injured.
