Gwara Media creative team, the organizer of the media hackathon, is also one of the organizers of the Startup Europe Week. According to organizers, Kharkiv lacks hackathons and communities focused on technology and possibilities of creating products where media, culture, and technology mix. It makes the city to drag behind. So they are gathering media startups in Kharkiv to help them out.
The first in Kharkiv NASNAGA Media Hackaton will be held at Studio Forty Two, the hub of social activities, on April 28-30, 2017. The organizers promise a mix of culture, media, technology and business in one place. The slogan of the hackathon is “Technology as the driving force of culture and media”.
100 IT specialists and media people will do a two-day non-stop brainstorming on ideas and technologies that will help to develop a new media format, new business models for media and cultural products.
Participants of the hackathon will get new knowledge, skills and useful networking in the field of high-tech and media, expert evaluation, and support of mentors. They will meet dozens of talented people while being entertained.
Teams will have an opportunity to create a prototype project or product, which may turn into a breakthrough, and win prizes from sponsors and organizers.
