The performance was dedicated to people’s rights equality regardless their views and aimed at fighting violence. However, violence was sure to appear.

Several minutes after the action started, its participants, who had some representatives of the local LGBT community among them, were attacked by 30 aggressive people. Some of the attackers were masked, while other young men did not cover their faces. They were trying to prevent the action; they threatened the participants, throwing eggs and spraying brilliant green at them. Also, they took away the rainbow flag from the march participants and burnt it.

Patrolmen protected the performance participants and warned the radicals from hurting them. The action organizers state that the policemen were fast to respond.

Since the offenders did not stop and began attacking the patrol, the policemen arrested four of them. According to the law enforcement report, the detained people were 17 to 27-year-old residents of Kharkiv and the region, two of them had previously been convicted for theft.

Two policemen were injured in the fight and taken to the hospital.

Currently, the identities of the other thugs are being found out while some of them are already identified in social networks as private guards supported by some city officials. Also, some ultrarightist admitted to their complicity later.
