‘All for the Victory’ Tent Arson Attack in Kharkiv

Today at about 4.30 a.m. “All for the Victory” volunteers’ tent was set alight by unidentified persons. The fire started at the tent’s entrance from the side of the roadway of Sumska Street.

According to Oleksandr Khriplyvyi, the volunteer on-duty, it’s likely to have been arson as a rucksack with the flammable mixture was found next to the tent and fire localization was on the outside, not on the inside.

Activist Boris Redin informs that there were three men inside the tent, who, together with the police, put out the fire. “We had five fire extinguishers. In addition, the rescuers arrived very quickly. We have already reported the incident to the police.”

According to the activist, the fire damaged the entrance, part of the tent, “All for the Victory” banner and nameplates of MPs who opened their reception rooms there. No one was injured as a result of the fire.

Volunteers have already announced fundraiser to renovate the tent.
