Career Opportunities for Polytechnic Students in Japanese Companies

Japanese envoys have visited National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” to discuss students development this week.

Expert of the Central Bank of Japan Masaru Tanaka and coordinator of Japan International Cooperation Agency program Oleksandra Chala discussed internships at IT companies for polytechnic students as well as providing courses in the Japanese language.

The outcome of those talks was the launching of free Japanese language courses for IT graduate students. These 1.5-hour lessons will be held for eight months twice a week. The first lesson took place on October 24. At the end of the training in Japanese, the group of students will have a chance to go to the Land of the Rising Sun. After graduation from the university, these students will have an opportunity to get a job at the branches of Japanese IT companies in Ukraine.

Masaru Tanaka represents not only the IT field. He is also a prominent international financial expert who has been working in the banking system for more than 30 years. Masaru Tanaka accepted an offer of the university’s administration to give lectures to the students majoring in economics.

Reference: Masaru Tanaka is an expert of the Central Bank of Japan. He is also an adviser to the Ministry of Finances of Ukraine and an international expert in the different areas of work of state national banks.

Japan International Cooperation Agency is a governmental agency that coordinates official development assistance for the government of Japan. It is chartered with assisting economic and social growth in developing countries and the promotion of international cooperation.
