More and more tourists, especially young ones, prefer to stay in hostels. And the price is not the only reason. As some put it, the hostels cultivate a cozy atmosphere. Kharkiv Observer takes a look at some of the hostels located downtown.
DREAM mini hostel Kharkiv
Dream mini hostel is located in an old building. The closest metro stations are Pushkinska and Universytet.
The hostel provides accommodation in either a dormitory or in double rooms with TV and a shared bathroom. The hostel offers air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. A kitchen with appliances, linen, hairdryer, and iron is available. The reception operates 24/7.

Each air-conditioned room features modern decor and a flat-screen TV. Shared and private bathrooms have a shower. Meals can be cooked in the rooms’ kitchenette equipped with microwave and kettle. A lot of cafes and bars can also be found within a five-minute walk to the hostel. Also, Sana offers board games and library. The hostel is located near Lopan river and within 10 minutes walking distance to Maidan Konstytutsii metro station.
Art hostel claims to be not only cozy but also a creative space. There is an area for private art exhibitions, where everybody can display their work for free. Hosmos often hosts tea ceremonies, presentations, exhibitions of young artists and poetry slams.
Check-in is possible 24 hours a day. The hostel has lockers and free WiFi. Guests can cook in the shared kitchen or eat out in the cafes and restaurants nearby. Each room has air-conditioning. Fans of outdoor activities can rent bicycles and equipment for water-sports on-site.
