At the beginning of July, “Diya. Business.” (Action. Business), the first Ukrainian Entrepreneurship Support Center was opened in Kharkiv.
“This is the first center that is designed for both city and regional entrepreneurs. This is the spot where business people can receive free consultations, attend seminars, workshops, forums, conferences, as well as take part in systematic training programs. In addition, they can test here their products to get feedback from potential buyers and reduce their risks,” highlighted Valeria Ionan, Vice Minister of Digital Transformation.
The Vice Minister also added that the list of services will be regularly updated. About 30 percent of them will cost a fee, mainly long-term educational programs so that the project works regardless of donor funds.
According to the Head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleksiy Kucher, Kharkiv was not chosen by chance to launch the center. Kharkiv is one of IT-sphere leaders. “In addition, the Kharkiv region is the leader to promote small and medium-sized enterprises, that’s why such centers are also required in the regions, the first ones are to be opened in Kharkiv and Derhachi regions,” Mr. Kucher added.
Ukrainian officials stated at the opening ceremony that similar centers are going to be created all over the country.
Partners for project implementation are Visa and Huawei Ukraine. The regional partner is the “Kharkiv Reform Office.”
The center has started operating since July 2 at 65 Sumska Street.
