Information Center Opens at the Largest Kharkiv Library

An information center started working at Korolenko State Scientific Library, as Regional Council reports.

The center’s main activities are legal assistance, psychological support, creative programs, computer literacy training, in particular for internally displaced persons (IDPs) and other socially vulnerable groups.

The opening of the center took place within the framework of Support of Ukraine’s Territorial Communities in Connection with the Increase in the Number of IDPs project. This is one of the infrastructure program’s initiatives for Ukraine. By order of the German government, it’s implemented by the federal company GIZ.

In the information center, both IDPs and Kharkivites can receive psychological support through art therapy and free legal assistance. Besides that, visitors can take computer literacy training and learn how to use modern e-governance tools, including e-services of the national and local level. They are invited to take part in creative projects as well.

The center also has an office equipped with eight computers, web cameras and free access to the Internet (Wi-Fi), a projector, a screen and ten easels.

The information center runs from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday working hours are 9 a.m – 6 p.m.
