Kharkiv Combatant Perished in Donbas

“On February 14, Kharkivite Dmytro Myronenko, 26-year-old senior soldier, together with two combatants were killed while advancing into position as a result of an unknown explosive device blowing up near Novoluhanske settlement, Bahmut district, Donetsk region,” informs Pivnich (Ukrainian: North) operational and tactical group.

Two other perished servicemen, captain Oleksander Voitenko (born in 1974) and senior soldier Vyacheslav Oleksiyenko (born in 1987), were from Kremenchuk, Poltava region. The three killed combatants served in the 5th battalion-tactical group of the 59th separate motorized brigade.

On February 17, the Kharkivite was buried at the 18th cemetery on the Alley of Glory. His relatives, friends, classmates and sworn brothers came to pay their last respects to the warrior.

Until grade 9, Dmytro studied at Kharkiv school No 38. In 2015, the young man graduated from the College of Information Technology Management.

“It is very hard to say goodbye because you are losing your sworn brother. This was his second military contract. Dmytro was brave, he fulfilled his professional duty with dignity and honor defending his homeland. Honor to his parents! We will always remember him as a smiling and cheerful person, “said Ihor Suk, the deputy commander of the 122nd separate airmobile battalion.

The young combatant has been defending Ukraine since 2017. He left behind his grieving parents.
