“By the end of 2019, Kharkiv International Airport ranked third among airports with annual passenger traffic of up to 5 million passengers,” the report states.
The airport also reported the highest increases in passenger traffic during December 2019 (compared with December 2018) which amounted to 45.9 percent.
The high ranking in the rating was attained by the rapid growth of passenger traffic during 2019: up 38.4 percent compared to the previous year.
Kharkiv Airport’s press-service informs that passenger numbers reached 111,600 people in January; 55 percent higher than in the same period last year.
Top-flight destinations are Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, Istanbul in Turkey, Warsaw, Krakow, Gdansk and Wroclaw in Poland, Dortmund in Germany and Austrian, Czech Republic and Ukrainian capitals, Vienna, Prague and Kyiv, respectively.
