Kharkiv gymnasts won five medals at the 2020 European Championships in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics which took place in Turkey on December 17-20.
On the last day of the competition, 16-year-old Anastasiia Motak and 14-year-old Daria Lyska from Kharkiv both won bronze medals in the continental championship.
In the seniors’ competitions, Anastasiia Motak came third in the vault and beam categories. Athletes from Hungary and Romania won gold medals.
Daria Lyska won a bronze medal in the vault category among juniors. The athlete from Romania took first prize in this category.
In total, Anastasiia and Daria won one gold, one silver and three bronze medals at the championship. In addition to bronze, Anastasiia Motak became the champion in team competitions among seniors. Daria Lyska took second place in team competitions among juniors.
Notably, Kharkivite Vladyslav Hryko won silver in team competitions among seniors at the 34th European Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Championships which was held in Turkey on December 9-13.
