The NATO delegation has visited the Ivan Kozhedub Kharkiv National University of Air Force this week. According to media reports, guests discussed the structure, organization and training system, NATO policy after the Warsaw Summit and prospects for cooperation with Ukraine.
Notably, communication in classrooms with cadets and teachers was in English.
The head of the NATO delegation Odd Egil Pedersen remarked that the purpose of the visit had been to acquaint with the administration, the teaching staff, cadets, the infrastructure of the university, and discuss the prospects for bilateral cooperation.
Representatives of the Alliance highly appreciated the level of professional knowledge of cadets and officers, noted their motivation and friendly atmosphere of the meeting.
The administration of the air force university noted that the cooperation with the NATO experts is of great importance, cause it facilitates the integration of the university into the European and Euro-Atlantic system of military education. “With the support of NATO, the Armed Forces of Ukraine is increasing its defense capability. We should use all opportunities for dialogue and practical cooperation with the aim of ensuring Ukraine’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence,” the head of the university Andrii Alimpiev admitted.
