“This summer, three new routes will be launched from Kharkiv International Airport to Italy, Spain and Cyprus,” reports the airport’s press service.
Ukrainian SkyUp Airlines is going to operate flights to Larnaca, Cyprus, on Fridays from May 25, to Barcelona, Spain, on Saturdays from June 2 and to Rimini, Italy, on Wednesdays from June 6.
The tickets will go on sale from April 2018. Currently, Kharkivites can buy tickets only as part of tours.
Further plans are underway to enable flights to Burgas, Bulgaria, Tivat, Montenegro, and Odesa.
“If any of these flights are popular, there is a good chance that they will remain available for the winter season. In addition, we expect that some airlines may add flights to existing destinations,” commercial director of the airport Vladislav Illin noted.
Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air is going to operate flights from Kharkiv commencing April 5, 2018, and is starting flights to Dortmund, Germany, twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays. It is also planning to run flights to Katowice, Poland, on Wednesdays and Fridays from June 20, 2018.
