The new educational and scientific laboratory “Control Systems of Electric Drives and Electrical Apparatus” was opened at the Beketov National University of Urban Economy in Kharkiv this week.
Now, students can get the competency-based education in the area of the modern energy-efficient and energy-saving technologies.
The laboratory has eight displays which are fitted with advanced computer, electrical and measuring equipment, supplied by French company Schneider Electric. Modern digital measuring devices, digital oscilloscopes, laser speed sensors, water and air pressure sensors and heat sensors are used for collecting tests data.
According to specialists, this is an advanced laboratory by Ukrainian standards due to its orientation, concentration of intelligent systems and computer technologies.
Every year, 1,000 university students and 200 engineers are to be trained there. They will be able to conduct about 40 different types of laboratory work and research projects in various spheres of production, energy and utilities.
