A new edition of Lewis Carroll’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” was presented in the Belinsky Municipal Central Library on December 15.
The book was created with the technology of augmented reality and illustrated by the famous Kharkiv artist Yevhenia Hapchynska.
Viewers can “revive” the characters and watch a series of mini-cartoons, using a special application for smartphones or tablets. Also, people can take photos and selfie with the characters. Anyone can download this application to the smartphone and follow the White Rabbit, pointing the camera at the images with symbols, and the characters move like in a real cartoon.
“The idea came as a result of watching ‘Pokemon Go’ game players’ behavior on Tokyo streets. After a while, we decided to create such a unique edition with the characters we invented as well as Hapchynska’s ones. The idea took three months of preparation, six months of filming – and now, finally, the book is completed. Everyone likes it!” the book’s producer Eduard Ahramovich admitted.
According to the project’s coordinators, the sequel to “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” is being prepared for publishing next spring.
