Up-to-date Administrative Services Center Opens in Kharkiv

A new regional center providing administrative and social services has been opened in Kharkiv. It is capable of serving about 2,000 people per day. Overall, it provides up to 450 services. The center is available not only for Kharkivites but residents of Kharkiv neighborhood as well.

The new building is constructed in the open space format. It is 6,000 square meters without barriers, which makes the services transparent and inclusive.

The new center provides administrative, social and pension services, including receiving a biometric passport. There is also a “Window for Foreigners,” where you can register a place of permanent residence or temporary stay, register your citizenship or get consulting services.

The system of an electronic queue is available in the center. There are a children’s zone, banking and other services. It is also barrier-free for disabled people.

The creation of Kharkiv regional center for administrative and social services was supported by the U.S.A. The American side allocated $335,000, provided computers and trained the client-oriented staff.

“This center is a symbol of the introduction of the international standards by Ukraine, its adherence to western values, which confirm its commitment to the European future. It is an example of the success that can be achieved when the government at national, regional and local levels cooperate to improve service quality and eliminate corruption,” U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch noted.

The Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko also attended the opening ceremony.

Kharkiv regional administrative services center is the largest and most potent in Ukraine. It is situated at Traktorobudivnykiv Avenue 144. The center works six days a week, without a break.
