“Last week, two ventilators were acquired for Kharkiv Regional Clinical Specialized Dispensary for Radiation Protection of Citinzery and one for Chuhuiv Central Regional Hospital,” Kharkiv Regional State Administration press-service informs.
According to Iryna Pirohova, the acting head doctor of the dispensary, a total of 80 patients with coronavirus were admitted to the medical institution during a month, half of them fully recovered while others continue receiving treatment. Two new ventilators are now installed and ready to operate.
New machines are better equipped for the treatment of pulmonary respiratory failure. They came at the right moment because those ones that doctors had used before needed to be replaced long ago.
Another ventilator was delivered to Chuhuiv hospital. According to its head Vyacheslav Hrushko, eight patients with COVID-19 and 12 with suspected coronavirus cases are currently treated there. Before the epidemic, the hospital had only two modern ventilators. Currently, there are five of them in the medical institution.
