Hyundai to Tender for Kharkiv Projects

Hyundai Motor Group managers met with the Kharkiv region officials on April 6.

During the meeting, Hyundai representative Jung Ho Song stated that the largest vehicle manufacturer in South Korea is planning to expand their operations with the region.

“We are going to consider all kinds of the investment proposals and to take part in the tenders, which are to be held in the Kharkiv oblast,” Hyundai Motor Group representative specified. He noted that the company had already contributed to Kharkiv metro equipment.

The Hyundai top manager emphasized that not only did the company repair the railway rolling stock, which was already in use, but they would consider other opportunities to enhance business cooperation.

“In addition to manufacturing railway transport, we also develop public sevice vehicles. We can produce buses, garbage trucks, ambulances and mobile hospitals for Kharkiv,” said Jung Ho Song.

Head of Kharkiv Regional State Administration Yulia Svitlychna promised to boost the cooperation with South Korea’s industrial giant in all possible ways.

During the meeting, the officials also discussed the implementation of joint social projects. Finally, Hyundai managers were invited to take part in the Kharkiv annual international economic forum in September 2018.
