Kharkiv’s strong background in machinery manufacturing, IT and agriculture paves the way to digitalization in agriculture and smart farming.
In an exclusive statement to the Kharkiv Observer, Kharkiv Agrofood Cluster representatives announced the beginning of the regional agri-food sector investment promotion policy development that will be centered around the Agriculture 4.0 concept.
Kharkiv has a strong background in machinery manufacturing, IT and agriculture. Combined, these industries pave the way to digitalization in agriculture and smart farming. According to Yurii Mykhaylov, Head of the Kharkiv Agrofood Cluster board, this potential can only be fully reached through foreign investment.
“To attract international investors, the Kharkiv Agrofood Cluster will evaluate the trends affecting the future value proposition of the region and the priority areas for promotion. Correspondingly, a working group is established,” says Ihor Botstein, the Paritet-Agro director.
Kateryna Leptsova, the cluster’s project manager, adds that the initiative is a follow-up of the 10th International Economic Forum Kharkiv.
